Trigger Point Dry Needling

Dry Needling for Pain Relief and Tension Release.

Trigger point dry needling is a targeted technique used to release tight, overactive muscles that contribute to pain and movement restrictions. By placing a thin needle directly into these trigger points, we help reduce tension, improve blood flow, and reset how the muscle functions.

Dry Needling

Trigger point dry needling is a highly effective technique we use to address tight, overactive muscles that contribute to pain, stiffness, and movement limitations. By placing a thin, sterile needle directly into these trigger points, we are able to reduce muscle tension, improve local blood flow, and restore normal muscle function.

For many patients, this creates immediate changes—decreased pain, improved mobility, and a better response to movement and strengthening. It’s one of the tools we use to help your body move and heal more efficiently.

At Attain, dry needling is not treated as an “add-on” or separate upcharge within your plan of care. When clinically appropriate, it is included as part of your physical therapy treatment to help accelerate your progress and improve outcomes.

We also offer dry needling as a standalone service for those who are not currently in a full physical therapy program.

Evaluation + Treatment:

$45 (For new patients, includes assessment and first needling session)

Follow-Up Sessions:

$30

This allows you to access the benefits of dry needling whether you are actively in care or simply looking for targeted relief and improved muscle function.

What to Expect with Dry Needling

01

/ Minimal discomfort during treatment

Most patients feel a quick pinch or a brief muscle twitch when the needle is placed into a trigger point. While this can feel intense for a moment, it typically subsides quickly and is well tolerated.

02

/ Short-term soreness after the session

It’s common to feel soreness in the treated area for 24–48 hours, similar to how a muscle feels after a tough workout. This is a normal response and often a sign that the muscle is resetting and responding to treatment.

03

/ Noticeable improvements in movement and pain

Many patients experience improved mobility and decreased pain shortly after treatment or within the next few days. These changes help your body move more efficiently and allow you to progress more effectively in your plan of care.
